Bella put us through quite the ordeal. Sunday morning an ultrasound showed that Bella's head was pointed down and ready to go. We decided to go for it and headed to the hospital that afternoon. I started pitocin and everything was proceeding according to plan. Our doctor then broke my water. That's when Bella decided that she was in charge.
Bella flipped herself around and managed to lodge herself into the transverse position (that's sideways for any guy who is reading this). It was off to the operating table after that.
I'll spare you the details, but the C-section was a blessing. Bella was tangled like a pretzel in her umbilical cord. The doctors performed wonderfully and I had a beautiful and healthy baby girl.

ReplyDeleteSo happy for all of you! God has answered our prayers for a healthy baby and mommy....intervening to keep Bella safe, inspite of all her gymnastics!! It will be fun to see if her love of movement dominates her interests in the future. :-)
